Raking Meditation at the Morven Japanese Garden

CTCC students once again have the wonderful opportunity to enjoy the beautiful Morven Japanese Garden, about a 25 minute drive from the dojo. Morven Japanese Garden is not open to the public. If you haven’t seen the garden, you may check it out here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WQjsfDBJ6l8.

10:00 Meet at the guard house.
10:10 Walk to the garden.
10:20 Standing Meditation on the veranda
10:30 Raking Meditation
12:30 Lunch/Free time
1:30 100-step T’ai Chi around the pond
3:00 Leave the garden

The walk from the parking lot to the gate of the garden is the place we appreciate the nature and quiet our mind. When you step into the Japanese garden, you will leave everything behind and be present in the garden. It is advised that you keep silence or voice down.

What to bring: water bottle, lunch, gardening gloves, boots, and camera
